Involving parents - what matters most? April 3, 7:00pm
Research shows that what parents do at home makes a big difference in children’s chances for success in school. But many parents and educators are still not getting the message about ‘what matters most’ in terms of parent involvement. Leading education researcher Carl Corter will share findings on what kinds of parent involvement makes the most difference to children’s school success – and he’ll provide easy to use tips for teachers, principals and parents about how to gear their efforts towards the most critical kinds of involvement. Each participant will receive a free Parent Involvement Toolkit!
